MTB World Champithships with Max Cluer & the KZN Mountain Bike Commission chairman Charles Roberts – MTB Talk SA Episode 7

Into episode 14 already of Run Talk SA and it is hard to believe that this will be the last podcast before 1 September. What is so significant about 1 September? Besides being considered the start of spring here in the Southern Hemisphere, entries for the 2014 Comrades Marathon open on 1 September. This week on the show we chat:
- To the King of Comrades Bruce Fordyce, not so much about the great race but about the explosion of ParkRuns in South Africa. Bruce explains how the Parkrun concept works, how it started and who can run. Bruce also told us how he stays motivated to get up and run when it’s cold and he also spoke about his recent knee injury that kept him from running for three months.
- To Ann Boniwell from a brand new running club called Born 2 Run AC. Parky spoke to Ann about how the club came about, who they are targeting and what the long term plans are to develop running here in South Africa.

We have to say that this is one of our favourite episodes of Trail Talk SA. Our two guests this week were phenomenal and shared some great insights into what they do. On Episode 5 of Trail Talk SA:
- Brad spoke with Landie Greyling who recently finished in the top 10 at the Long Distance Trail World Championships. Another busy week on Run Talk SA this week and it may be the week with the most guests on the show that we’ve ever had! In Episode 13 Brad and Simon:
- Touched base with Johan Cronje. Johan won team South Africa’s only medal at the 2013 IAAF World Championships in Moscow when he finished third in the 1500m. You can .
- Spoke to Nhlanhla Ngwenya, the CEO of Ultimate Sporting Concepts, who are the organisers of the Gauteng Sport Challenge which incorporates the Gauteng Marathon, 21.1km and 10km.

This week on Tri Talk SA we are doing things slightly differently, for the first time in the history of Tri Talk SA, we only feature one guest on the show this week. We are really stoked to have the 2010 Ironman 70.3 World Champion and the 2013 Ironman Sweden winner Jodie Swallow on episode 9 this week and because we only chatted to one guest we managed to get into a lot more depth.
We really hope you enjoyed the interview and the information that came out of it. Jodie shared with us how she got into triathlon from a very competitive swimming and athletics background, she also spoke candidly about the eating disorder she has had to overcome and her hopes and aspirations for the future. The Comrades Coach will run you through exactly where you should be right now with your training. He will also talk you through the next four weeks. We will also look at injury prevention as we step things up in January on our way to Comrades 2014.

Brad and Lindsey will host the hour long webinar that will be streamed live on YouTube. While you are watching you will be able to ask questions and Brad and Lindsey will then be able to answer them in real time. All you need to do to access this free webinar is to register below.
